Frank O'Donnell - Inducted Oct 4, 2014

Picture
Frank O'Donnell has been a mainstay on the Rhode Island comedy scene for decades. As a stand-up, as an actor, as a television personality, and as a writer.

He's been telling jokes on stage as one of the Ocean State's favorite comedians since the early 1980's, performing regularly at Periwinkles, Comedy Connection, and Catch a Rising Star amoung others. He's also opened for many national headliners like David Brenner and Gilbert Gottfried. And warmed up the crowd for musical acts like Michael Bolton and The Judds. As a comedy writer he has written jokes for some of the greats too, like Bob Hope and Jay Leno.

Frank has also passed on his wisdom and knowledge of comedy to other aspiring comedians with his Comedy Bootcamp experience.

Frank has also become very well-known on the theater scene as well. Having acted in, produced, directed, and written many stage productions over the years. Including his popular annual holiday show Ant’ny Claus.

Along with guest appearances on local TV shows and writing colomuns for local newspapers and websites, Frank always seems to be looking for ways to make Rhode Islanders laugh.
