The Rhode Island Comedy Hall of Fame was created by stand-up comedian Rockin' Joe Hebert in 2011 as a way to honor those who have made significant contributions to the world of comedy in Rhode Island and beyond.
In 2025, comedian Tom Stewart became the new director of the RICHOF in hopes of growing the virtual hall's reach and recognition while also helping local charities, businesses, and the comedy community. |

Inductees are selected by a committee of respected entertainers and business people from Rhode Island with influence by the general public and the comedy community.
Induction ceremonies and any charities benefited are decided by The Hall of Fame and the selected inductee(s).
